Education & Safety ProgramsThe Education and Safety Training programs and seminars run by the Rhode Island Chapter include courses as basic as the OSHA 10-Hour Course all the way up to: Management Training Leadership Development Business Planning Safety Understanding Prevailing Wage Laws Contracts Blueprint Reading Hot Political IssuesThese programs are run many times throughout the year. Notices of upcoming classes are sent to our members and posted on the Calendar of Events Section of the Rhode Island Chapter website.Apprenticeship TrainingThe Rhode Island Construction Training Academy (RICTA), which is affiliated with the Rhode Island Chapter of ABC provides the classroom training that is required by the state in a number of apprenticable trades including electric, pipefitter, HVAC, sprinklerfitter and sheet metal. Additional trades can be added as the need arises. Our instructors are certified by the National Center for Construction Education & Reserarch and use the state-approved "Contren" curriculum from NCCER.
