DIVERSITY
As our population becomes more diverse, so too must the future construction workforce. There is excellent training available at The Center to Advance Minority Participation in the Construction Industry, located at 570 Broad Street, in Providence. The National Minority Contractors Association of New England, which is housed within The Center has been running training programs in areas such as general construction, mold remediation, secretarial programs for the construction field, and a wide range of other training programs that can directly benefit ABC members.

To keep our members better informed about programs being run by The Center and the Minority Contractors Association, The Rhode Island Chapter of ABC recently became a member of the National Minority Contractors Association of New England (NMCA). Further, ABCRI President, Robert Boisselle, has been invited to sit on the Board of NMCA. In addition, the National Minority Contractors Association of New England has joined ABCRI and will be invited to have one of their members sit on our Board, as well.

ABC National has developed a Diversity Self-Assessment tool that companies can use to determine their level of commitment to fostering a diverse workforce. To download the Assessment Tool, click here:
