Associated Builders and Contractors Rhode Island Chapter invites you to a STEP Workshop
June 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm
What is STEP?
STEP – Safety Training Evaluation Process – established in 1989 as a study to find the correlation between leading indicators (measures companies can take to keep their employees safe) and lagging indicators (the number of accidents and occurrences in the field- found on 300 logs).
Why should you participate?
Gathering information about the safety of the merit shop and assisting members with safety are the primary goals of the ABC STEP program. The participation of the RI membership and the summary information it provides will aid our Chapter in our legislative initiatives and in selecting future training seminars.
How you can participate – easily!
In this workshop Cole Whitehead from J.J. Cardosi and Lynn Kent from Robert F. Audet, Inc, Inc. will walk participants through the process of applying for STEP and filling out the STEP application.
To fill out the STEP application, participants will need to bring with them:
– OSHA 300A
– EMR (Mod Rate) – EMR is also listed on your workers compensation policy
– should have a good understanding of your company’s safety protocols
If you are interested in attending, please RSVP to Marc Bialek at firstname.lastname@example.org before Tuesday June 28th, 2022.
